Coding is an increasingly important skill to learn in our technology focussed world. While children are learning the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking in schools, clubs and holiday camps, parents might be feeling left behind! By the end of the course you will be better able to communicate with your child about Computing, security and e-safety.

blue{shift}’s ‘Coding for mums and dads‘ four week course intends to demystify coding, giving parents the tools they need to support their children as they complete their computing education under UK’s National Curriculum.

This course will cover the same concepts, tools and languages that we teach children in our After School Clubs and Holiday Camps. Our teacher will guide parents through core computing and coding concepts, teaching both block-based languages and text-based languages to create animations, games and web apps.

Session 1: Scratch and Introduction to Programming
Session 2: Intro to the web: programming in JavaScript with HTML and CSS

Session 4: TBC

Come join us for what will be an enjoyable and enlightening course!
