Detailed Description

Is your child crazy about Lego? Are they a budding artist or engineer who loves to build things or take things apart and figure out how they work?

This course introduces children aged 7 to 9 to design, engineering and robotics through a series of imaginative projects and challenges. Each day campers will work on a new theme including art, sports and space.

Children will be given a different challenge each day and will design and build a Lego robot using Lego Wedo, a kit designed especially for young children. Some of our projects include designing a racing robot that moves quickly through a maze as well as a robot with an arm that can be used for making art.

Topics Covered

  • Hands-on computing
  • Programming robotics
  • Logical reasoning and computer skills
  • Problem-solving

This is a course for intermediate coders aged 7 to 9. Students should have some experience using a laptop, a keyboard, and a mouse. If your child has participated in a Scratch camp or after-school club or has had experience coding, they could progress onto Creative Coding Level 2. (If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us using the chat button in the bottom right of your screen!)
