Be patient if you are struggling. If you are someone who enjoys the challenge of learning new things you’ll do great. If not, don’t worry too much either. I came into coding from a theatre and performance background (almost the opposite of work behind a screen!). So, I truly believe anyone can code!

A new world of 3D and XR was coming into the theatre and I just loved the idea that I could help build new tech to make new kinds of performance. It’s been incredibly satisfying to see my ideas come to reality and progress each day. I started during the first lockdown teaching myself, then on to a masters and haven’t looked back since. Recently, I’ve made some 3D people for a Nike shoot for a new shoe drop in the metaverse. Other than that, I’ve made VR worlds for festivals, performances and generative art using depth-cameras and my code. It’s so important to help shape the world around us. Even to know how applications work and the way different systems are built gives a great insight and understanding into how the world functions and connects. I’ve had great advice from some top coders and professionals and I always hope to be able to pass on that knowledge to someone who is equally as keen to learn as I am.

Rescheduling lessons

If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at hello@blueshiftcoding.com and we will do our best to move the session for you.

If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.

Missing a lesson

Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
