Jack, Expert Teacher

BA Fine Art, Kingston University

I have been teaching in different settings since graduating my BA. I’m really inspired by how creative children can be, and the imaginative ideas that they come up with when designing or making something. I like seeing a child take on the skills I’ve learnt and working with them to make their ideas come to life!

I first started coding when I was editing a portfolio website I had made to present my sculptural art practice. I use image and graphics in my work, so I had developed a good understanding of Photoshop and animation software, and these skills have allowed me to gain work in the film and TV industry. I also apply this knowledge to my own digital artworks. I think coding is an exciting outlet for creativity. It isn’t just limited to making websites or apps - there’s so many ways art can be made or things can be designed using code or digital software.
