Jinia, Teacher

BSc Digital Arts Computing, Goldsmiths University of London

I was nannying children after school whilst studying at university which is when I realized I really enjoyed working with children. Working as a creative coding teacher I am able to combine both of my passions!

I first started coding during my time doing a Foundation in Arts and Design right before I started University. Around this time, I realized I wanted to extend my arts practice past graphics to create interactive systems/storytelling. The coolest thing I’ve made with tech is a robot called “RoboFreak” which was exhibited in a show in 2019 - the spider-like robot moves its limbs, and head; it has big flashing eyes and a touch screen body that you can poke it’s beating heart!

  • “My son loved learning with Jinia! He was so keen that it was nice that Jinia was there a little early and a little after the class too, for more interaction.”

    Romany, parent

  • “She was cool!”

    Bella, 7

  • “My daughter had a great time! Jinia was great at explaining what the children needed to do. She kept them engaged throughout the session.”

    Rachael, parent

Rescheduling lessons

If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at hello@blueshiftcoding.com and we will do our best to move the session for you.

If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.

Missing a lesson

Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
