Nothing’s more exciting than sharing knowledge in a field you’re passionate about and that’s exactly the case for me with coding.

I started coding during high school, but what pushed me to explore it more seriously was my introduction to algorithmic music and audio programming a few years later. I learned that being a computer musician does not imply being limited to digital tools other people made, I could code my own instead! I wrote a chamber music piece based on the Bubble Sort algorithm - I really like to use algorithms in unusual fields. Like composing for a string quartet. I’ve realised that computers aren’t going anywhere and the more we understand how they work, the better we can use them - whether it is about efficiency, creativity or safety in dealing with the virtual world. If a problem seems too big or difficult to understand, remember you don’t have to figure it out all at once! Start by solving a tiny part of it - all big ideas are built up from lots of smaller ones.

Rescheduling lessons

If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at hello@blueshiftcoding.com and we will do our best to move the session for you.

If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.

Missing a lesson

Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
