More and more of our world is built using technology - it is great to have an understanding of how it works, and how to adapt/build things yourself. As soon as I discovered that code can be used in more visual and creative ways, I was hooked - follow your interests and learn to do the things that inspire you the most!

I first started coding during a computing apprenticeship. I had never been exposed to coding at school so I wanted to understand how it all worked. Since my apprenticeship, I have been using code more experimentally in my design degree. I have always been interested in combining creativity with education and I find that teaching helps me to learn a lot too! I love supporting young people to find their own interests, and I hope that by introducing coding in a more creative way it will inspire them to have more confidence in their abilities, and to begin making cool things with technology! The possibilities really are endless - for example, I recently made a 3D laser scanner using wood, motors, Arduino and Python.

Rescheduling lessons
If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at hello@blueshiftcoding.com and we will do our best to move the session for you.
If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.
Missing a lesson
Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
