Practice and patience is essential when coding. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to make a piece of code work, but slowly learning from mistakes and understanding patterns goes a long way! - So just keep going and everything will be okay!

I began coding in year 7 when I was introduced to Scratch, a program where I could take fictional characters and use my imagination to create a game I loved! I later returned to coding when I started my biomedical engineering degree, to work on medical projects where I had the power to create life-like animations of hearts and lungs moving in the body. The feeling of seeing what I had created, simply from numbers and patterns was amazing! These animations made me aware of the immense capability coding has and how necessary it is in every aspect of our lives.

It's exciting to see my hard work pay off when a student excels to the best of their potential and feels comfortable with the subject I teach them and that’s my goal! Fresh young minds will adapt the future of our generation and being an anchor to help them mould into the people they will become is essential and I find that exciting which is why I want to teach.
