Sara, Senior Teacher
Bsc Information Management for Business, University College London; MSc Child Development, University of Oxford
I volunteered as a teacher during my year-long internship in Silicon Valley. The students’ curiosity and realisation that they could build anything was amazing to witness. That inspired me to run STEM workshops in East Africa and the feedback was incredible. Young children who had never used computers before, learnt basic coding and would tell me they want to become engineers.

I completed a Computer Science summer school at UCL during my sixth form and studied some computer science courses during my undergraduate degree. Since then, I’ve built my own website and a passion for hardware (physical computing). I think learning to code is useful for preparing children for the future job market but, more than that, coding is a tool to create and build solutions and the world you want to live in.

If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to move the session for you.
If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.
Missing a lesson
Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
Can I have tuition with more than one child at a time?Yes. Please be aware that with each child added to a session we increase the price by 0.5. For example, online tutoring with a 'Teacher' teaching our core curriculum would cost £50ph for one child and £75ph for two children. If you would like group tuition please either book a consultation, fill out an enquiry form or contact us directly at email@example.com.
How often can I have sessions? Our tutoring service is completely bespoke, so whether you would like one session a week or three, we'll match you with a tutor who is able to meet your needs.
Is my child the right age for tutoring? We tutor children aged 5-16 years old. Each lesson is specially adapted to your child so that our tutors are able to guide them through their journey from block-based to text-based coding as they mature and progress!
Booking your lessons following the trialAfter your trial session we do not take bookings outside of packages at our standard rates due to our tutors needing to know their commitments. This means that we politely ask you to purchase either a 4 session or 8 session package. If you would not like to book a 4 or 8 session package, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we may be able to offer a 2 session booking (surcharge for administrative costs may apply)
