We're working on something special...
If the past year taught us anything it's that online learning is essential but also that the current tools for learning and teaching online are not as good as they could - and should! - be.
In BlueShift's move to make our digital skills education available online during the pandemic, we learnt that, while online delivery allows us to make our education services more accessible and reach more children from all around the world, the tools available just aren't meant for teaching or learning. That's why we're working on something special.
The BlueShift team are hard at work developing a platform that will make online learning more accessible, more engaging and more effective - especially for young students. It's a tool designed by educators, for educators and addresses the problems so many of us experienced during the past year. We think you're going to love it!
We're super excited to be a winner of the Women in Innovation Award 2020/21 for this technology, receiving a grant and the support to bring our innovation to life. We are honoured to be recognised alongside an inspiring group of women, and thrilled to have the backing to continue to inspire and empower the next generation. You can read more about the Women in Innovation Awards and the award winners, and find loads of fantastic resources on their website.
The development of this platform has been shaped by the BlueShift community. We received over 1,500 pieces of feedback from BlueShift students, parents and teachers which helped us to identify the pains of, and possible solutions to, current online learning offerings. You can continue to help us to shape the future of online learning by telling us your experiences of online learning (we've all had lots over the last year!). Good or bad, your experiences will help us to build the best platform possible - fill out this form to tell us yours.
We hope you're as excited about this new venture as we are, and we can't wait to keep you - our valued community - informed throughout our journey.
