What is a blue{shift} virtual

Our virtual hackathons are a series of free online creative tech events for kids! These events enable students to learn key coding skills before being challenged to use these skills in a fun hands-on project

In our most recent hackathon students and parents alike learnt how to use the Scratch coding language to create their own unique interactive animation.

Each hackathon begins with an approximately hour long live stream from Harvey, our Head of Education, who covers a number of key coding and animation concepts. It is a great opportunity for students to try something creative and learn the basics of coding in a fun and accessible format. From here, Harvey will challenge each child to use what they have learnt in an innovative challenge that each student should complete over the following week. Each student then has the opportunity to share with us their finished project - and the most impressive will be awarded an awesome prize!

Date & Time: TBD - sign up for updates!
