Lloyd, Expert Teacher

BA Animation and Film Production, Plymouth College of Art

I feel very lucky to teach children a subject that I’m very passionate about. It’s great fun to work with students and actually get involved with them with their projects. I really like it when students start to understand the topics we are learning and start to implement their own ideas.
  • Core topics
  • Scratch
  • JavaScript (with Bitsbox)
  • JavaScript (with p5.js)
  • Python
  • Specialist topics
  • CSS
  • Unity
  • HTML
  • C#
  • Swift
  • Stop-motion animation
  • Video production and editing
  • Adobe Photoshop

I first started coding in 2000 when languages like Actionscript and Lingo were being used to bridge the gap between creativity and development, allowing creative individuals like me to access the world of coding. For me, it was a natural progression from creating animations in Flash to creating interactive applications. Since then I’ve built many mobile apps for iPhone and Android, as well as other exciting digital projects for large companies like Redbull, Motorola, Adidas and many more.

  • “Really amazing sessions and content, and best tutors we have come across. Our son always looks forward to his sessions”

    Zeina, private tuition parent

  • “My teacher is understanding”

    Lucas, 9

If you need to reschedule a lesson for any reason, please give us at least 24 hours notice by either contacting your tutor or a member of our team at hello@blueshiftcoding.com and we will do our best to move the session for you.

If your child is feeling unwell, we might be able to reschedule your lesson up to 2 hours before the lesson is supposed to start for online tuition, and up to 4 hours before the lesson is due to start for in-person tuition.

Missing a lesson

Please be aware that if you miss a lesson for any reason and do not give us at least 24 hours notice we will take this as a no-show and charge you the full rate of this session without an opportunity to reschedule, as we must compensate our tutors for their time.
