Coding Club
This club introduces children to a platform called ‘Bitsbox’. It’s a great introductory format for JavaScript as it allows children to learn about the intricacies of text-based coding languages easily.
In this club, students will learn about the differences between Scratch and Bitsbox by working on their own Bitsbox projects. They’ll build apps, program an interactive quiz, and create their own Angry Birds game. Students will gain important computer literacy skills, learn simple JavaScript concepts, and create their own original work.
Advanced Coding Club
In this course we lead students through the exciting journey of game design to program their own unique projects!
Unity is used widely across the tech and entertainment industries by companies such as Disney and Microsoft to create 3D and 2D visualisations for games, films, animations, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) software, as well as simulations and other experiences. In this course, students learn key coding and game design concepts; they will explore prototyping, tackle programming challenges, complete quizzes, and develop their own unique Unity project!
Mini Coders Club
Designed specifically for our youngest students with no previous technological experience, our Mini Coders course starts with basic ICT skills and computing concepts to introduce children to the exciting world of coding. Our specially designed activities allow your child to develop their programming skills using Scratch JR, an introductory programming language that enables young children to create their own stories, animations and games. An emphasis is placed on freedom of expression, as our project-based learning encourages children to freely express their creativity as they write and modify code!
Robotics Club
In this interactive club, students will get hands-on with Micro:Bit pocket-sized computers and learn how to use them as part of robotics projects.
Students will build and programme their very own robots to participate in games and competition. They will learn how to use key engineering tools like ultrasonic sensors, light sensors and servo motors to enhance their robots, and Bluetooth to communicate between robots.
